Manufactured steel engine swap oil pan for installing a 4.8L, 5.3L or 6.0L GM LS Series engine into early GM passenger cars and trucks, as well as 1982-04 S10, S15 (2WD/4WD) trucks. The low profile pan moves the oil sump to the rear, like traditional SB Chevy oil pans have. The front of the pan in only 1-7/8 in. deep for excellent clearance above the chassis cross member. A gently sloping pan floor ensures that all the engine oil drains back to the pan sump, which measures only 6 in. deep. This keeps the pan's sump tucked up and behind the cross member, to avoid pan damage caused by speed bumps, driveways and flying road hazards. The pan comes equipped with a specially designed oil pickup tube that maintains a reliable, consistent flow of oil to your engine. Works with the factory pan o-ring seal. Two -10AN fittings have been integrated into the pan's reinforced mounting flange, to allow for easy hookup to a remotely mounted oil filter. The pan sump measures 8 1/4 in. wide by 7 in. long.
