Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing tubular steel "manifolds"– Better known as headers, since 1954. We've always been on the the cusp of fresh designs for new vehicle models from Detroit, and whatever creative engine swap applications you hot rodders have come up with over the last 60+ years.

Every so often, something comes along that sends the automotive hobby into a frenzy, and around the turn of the century, the LS engine was put into use by General Motors. It only took a couple of short production years before this innovative, next-generation SB Chevy started to find their way into classic American Musclecars, like Camaros, Chevelles, EL Caminos and C10 trucks. Today, the LS engine is the staple of the classic car hobby, and has even found its way into the import/sport compact market. It is no longer unusual to find one of these efficient, compact powerplants in a Nissan 240SX, Mazda Miata or Porsche.

While Hedman Hedders has thoughtfully designed application specific headers (with Trans-Dapt and Hamburger's pitching in with engine mounts and engine swap oil pans) that fit right in and provide excellent performance, the shear variety of vehicles LS engines find their way into means it would be impossible to economically offer a specific design for everything. In response to the demand for an LS header that will work for these less popular LS swap projects, Hedman Hedders now offers an LS Engine Swap Cast manifold Set that fits tight against the engine block for maximum clearance– But larger, smoother exhaust runners and ports to offer exhaust flow that blows the factory manifolds away. These compact LS manifolds are super durable, and compact to improve the chances these will fit right into your special project's engine room.

We currently offer these LS Swap Manifolds as a raw cast iron, or with Hedman Hedders' Black-Maxx Satin Black ceramic coating, HTC Polished-Silver Ceramic coating, or unpolished Matte-Silver ceramic coating. All manifolds include a set of collector gaskets, bolts, and matching steel exhaust flanges to weld to your custom exhaust system.
