Hello I am considering the purchase of a set of 68470 un-coated hedders, and would like to know if they can be coated with any sort of hi temp paint? Hey Jim, VHT and Eastwood carry some good coatings for headers but you can go to your local autoparts store and get high heat paint. The higher the heat tolerance the better. It's recommended to get something that works up to 1000 degrees. The key to getting the best from painting them yourself is in the preperation. You really want to get them clean and free of paint before spraying them. Use a Scotch Bright pad or similar. The better the preperation, the longer it will last. Hope this helps!
